The prime motive of this page is to act as a rough guide in order to judge the approximate cost of liposuction. While considering any liposuction surgeries, the liposuction cost is an imperative aspect. Before undergoing the liposuction surgery under the professional guidance of a quality surgeon, you would definitely like to get a clear cut estimate of how much it will cost you.

The accurate information about the cost of liposuction given in this liposuction prices guide will be of great assistance for everyone and everywhere, you want to get the liposuction surgery performed.

Factors affecting Cost of Liposuction

Not many people are aware of this fact that how much a liposuction surgery will cost them, so if you are planning to undergo liposuction surgery then you would want to know the estimated cost of this surgery to get a shapely and curvaceous body. There are mainly five factors which affect the cost of liposuction surgery anywhere around the world. Let us check out what these factors are:

Surgeon’s fees constitute almost 30% of the cost of liposuction and the surgeon with more experience will charge more fees.

Anaesthesiologists’ fee is also 10% of the total cost of liposuction.

Hospital expenses including the fee of nursing and acre along with the operating room expenses.

Pre and post medication also forms almost 5% of the total cost of liposuction.

Some additional charges are of the assistant surgeon and the cost of diagnostic tests which are conducted before and after the liposuction surgery.

Variations in liposuction costs depending on various factors

There are several factors which influence the cost of liposuction like the number of areas which are treated through liposuction, the kind of areas treated by the surgery of liposuction, the quantity of fat that has to be removed from the site, etc. All these factors are just few which influence the total cost of liposuction, but it is usually found that if we get treated more area or body site in one session the cost of liposuction diminishes with increasing body area. The reason being it is easier to treat larger body area together, than working on small areas in sections.

Quantity of fat depositions to be removed also effect the cost of liposuction: It has been found that more the amount of fat cells needed to be removed higher the cost of liposuction. Both have directly proportional relation as when more fat has to be removed the surgeons have to work more and liposuction is not an easy task to perform. It has been found that most of the time the liposuction is done by people who are overweight or due to some health related problem, so the amount of fat removal is usually more in such cases, which causes increase in cost of liposuction.

Higher cost in Male liposuction than females: Since it is easier to remove fat from female body than from a male body, the cost automatically increases in case of male patients. The reason being the fat in male body is tougher and fibrous which takes time to get removed and moreover the body area of men is comparatively larger than females. This results in higher liposuction costs in case of males than in females.

Where would you get the liposuction done: This will also have effect on the cost of liposuction as the fees of the surgeon vary in different parts of the world and it mainly depends upon the cost of living in that country. But this does not have any relation to the fact that cheaper liposuction surgery will be worst and the most expensive one will be the best. There is no relation between cost of liposuction and quality of liposuction. Different surgeons have different charges and fees for liposuction surgery.

Kind of anaesthesia: the kind of surgery technique is related directly to the types of anaesthesia you would be given. Like in case of Tumescent technique just local anaesthesia is required. While in case of ultrasound and vibration techniques of liposuction general anaesthesia is needed. Local anaesthesia does not require anaesthesiologist while in case of general anaesthesia you need an anaesthesiologist, thus the cost of liposuction in case of ultrasound and vibration technique increases as compared to Tumescent technology.

Areas to be worked upon while liposuction: Cost of liposuction varies according to the body area where liposuction is needed. Like in case of liposuction from just stomach will cost more than getting liposuction done on stomach and buttocks which will be lesser?

Questions you must ask from the Liposuction Surgeon before surgery

While calculating the cost, do keep the above points in mind and when you finalise the liposuction surgeon do ask him following questions related to cost. Do not feel hesitant in making clarifications about the related costs and how you can lower the budget of liposuction.

Ask him about how many areas will be covered during liposuction?

What kind of techniques like tumescent, ultrasound, vibration etc. will be sued by him? What is the difference between the costs of surgery in using each technique?

Ask him what kind of anaesthesia will be required by you; local or general anaesthesia?

For how many days will you be hospitalized and what will be the hospital expenses?

What would be the consultation fees of the surgeon?

After asking all these questions you would be able to get an estimate of the cost of liposuction and remember to include your travelling expenses, transportation cost and accommodation expenses in the final cost of liposuction. You should ask the doctor, how does he count the areas of liposuction to arrive at the real cost. Some surgeons treat upper and lower abdomen as two different regions and hips and waist also as separate areas.

Cost Saving Techniques for liposuction

If you get liposuction done on per body site basis you can definitely save some amount in the cost of liposuction. You can get liposuction done on lesser areas or on just one body site.

Go for test drive first; this will give you the benefit of paying as you go. Mostly the surgeons do the second surgery at a bit lesser price for their repeat patients.

Some patients go for liposuction financing too or cosmetic surgery financing which helps in getting huge amount from financial institution, but it is not recommended as in the long run it adds up in paying more from your pocket.

Instead you can use credit card cash advances which will prove to be less expensive. But before choosing to go into debt for undergoing liposuction like luxury think twice.

Know about the various cost saving liposuction techniques to lower your cost of liposuction surgery like always remember that Ultrasonic liposuction is costlier, as additional expensive instruments are needed for performing it. Another better option is that avoid laser treatments which are also a bit expensive. It has been found that basic conventional procedure for liposuction is costlier than laser treatments. So why not save some money by going for laser liposuction for improved body contouring and enhance the image of your body.

Moreover laser liposuction has an additional benefit of no incision surgery, so no major healing is needed, so get back to work quickly and pay lower cost for liposuction surgery. Thus make your boss as well as your wallet happy along with yourself with those perfect curves.

Wrinkles are a part of ageing but not many of us are happy to embrace it- and of course the social demands of looking young and beautiful dominates this negative feeling we have about wrinkles. A lot of factors contribute towards the formation of wrinkles and stress, pollution, demands of the fast paced modern life all plays an important part. With all of us desperate to look eternally young and gorgeous, we are always trying to find a solution to our concerns. The advancement of cosmetic science and technology has proved to a boon for the multitude of men and women who refuse to grow old. The easy availability of the fillers and the injectables are offering more than just a quick fix and the results achieved are simply overwhelming.

The cosmetic market is flooded with options to choose from when it comes to looking younger. With promises to never dry out the fountain of youth, the market has indeed become very competitive. All of them vouches to give a smooth, glowing skin in no time they actually works wonder for you- restoring your youthfulness in no time at all. Both fillers and injectable treatments have gained popularity with both the sexes and it has become more of a personal preferences which one to go for. They are all derma friendly and there are no chances of any allergic reaction. However, there is some basic differences between the fillers and the injectibles and lets a quick look on how each scores.

Differences between the Injectibles and the Fillers

Knowing the differences between the two will surely help you decide better and of course be better informed about the procedure to choose for yourself. Putting it simply, the most common injectables are Botox and Restylane that are injected into the skin and they numb the specific area. They tend to numb the muscles in the area making it flexed and thus preventing the wrinkles. The entire procedure is fast and can be completed only in a few minutes. Most importantly, the results are instant and the achieved results last for 4-6 months. With absolutely no need of anesthesia, you will just feel the pin pricks of the ultra fine needles only for a fraction of second.

Botox is the most popular choice when it comes to injectables. It is a purified protein that works wonders to reduce or completely eliminates crow’s feet, frown lines, creases in the forehead and even the deep creases of the neck. However, as Botox works by numbing the muscle sensation of a particular area, the lines reappear with regular activity in the area. The procedure is completely safe and there have been no negative feedbacks as such, though Botox is not recommended to breastfeeding mothers and even to expecting women.

Restylane works well on the deep wrinkles that are stubborn as well. It is a gel like formula that is injected in the dermis layers of the skin and the results received are simply excellent. Restylane has hyaluronic acid as its primary ingredients, which occurs naturally in the unman body- so chances of allergy while using the product can be alleviated. This acid is produced in large quantities in the when in the younger ages, but as we age the natural production of the acid diminishes and wrinkles begin to appear on the skin. The Restylane works well on the area like the frown lines on the forehead, crow’s feet, laugh lines and the deep creases in the neck.

There are other choices in injectables like the Hylaform, which is a purified form of avian hyaluronic acid that is similar in composition to the natural hyaluronic acid produced in the body. Microlipid injections too are a great choice and considered to the safest form of injectables as the fat is taken from the body of the concerned individual and thus eliminating the chances of allergy.

Dermal Filler as the Option

Popularly called the liquid facelift, dermal filler is the best choice when it comes to pumping up your lips and look the dive. They are a great choice when it comes of softening the facial creases and even they are a great choice with excessive sagging skin. The popular choices remain Juvederm, Artefill or Artecoll as known in the United States and Radiesse. These are comparatively low cost and involve lesser risks than the surgery. However, for all these products, the results achieved are excellent, though they are temporary and will involve regular maintenance. Of all the above mentioned products the best choice remains the Artefill because of its unique composition containing polymethyllethacrylate that are almost semi permanent and are not readily absorbed by the skin.

Procedures Involved in Both

Before you jump headlong into the surgery, it is important to know how the entire thing will be carried out on you. Looking for the right doctor is without doubt a crucial and a daunting task. Start by asking your family and friends if they have anyone in mind or undergone similar procedures themselves. It is important that your doctor takes into account all the details including your past medical history. You must also have a very realistic expectation about the outcome of the surgery and the results achieved. You skins and all your concerns will be taken into account before the surgery is finalized.

There are possibilities that a local anesthesia is used to numb the area and alleviate the pain and then the fillers and the injectables are used. A photograph is also taken so that you know of the changes after the surgery and is also kept as a record. You will also be updated about all the aftercare procedures and details of pain killers if you need any. The injected material will be a bit thick and so might be a bit painful while it is being injected- however, the pain does not last long. Antibacterial agents are used to ensure that there are no chances of infection. You will have to bear a few minutes of discomfort and then you are ready to look like the diva.

Results to be Expected

Some redness and swelling will be there, which will subside after a few hours and bruises after a few days. There is no downtime of these treatments and you can resume your normal life right after they are done. Some common complications like bleeding, acne, sensitivity, rash, temporary numbness, itching may be noticed after the treatment.

The cost of the treatment will depend upon a number of factors, though both the processes are temporary and maintenance is recommended every 4-6 months.

Migraine headaches are a very common problem faced by many in every part of the world. Before trying to identify the ways and means of treating this particular problem it is essential for us to understand the problem and its causative agents. Then we can concentrate on what exactly Botox is and how many doctors use Botox to treat migraine headaches. It is necessary to do so because if one does not know the root of the problem one will never be able to understand that whether the means they are taking are correct or not. Let us try and find out more about these things in the following paragraphs.

What is a migraine?
A typical bout of migraine is a piercing headache which can leave one completely motionless and weak for hours. Like most of the chronic medical diseases like cancer and diabetes, physicians can only guess what causes migraines and how far the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is effective remains to be seen based on experiments and their results. It has been speculated that the splitting migraine headaches are caused by some problems of the nerve cells of the brain. Some difficulty of the blood vessels also causes migraine. Migraine pains are awful and can be very troublesome hindering one’s day to day activities. There are mainly three different kinds of migraine. The most common type is the first one which is not accompanied before or after by any sort of aura. By aura here I mean some disillusionment and visual disturbances caused by a sudden burst of light. This kind of migraine pains occur and recur as well. The classical type, that is, our second type is a kind which is preceded by an aura. These can be very painful and the pain is blinding. The third type is perhaps the most painful one. The pain lasts for a long time, whereas the general span of time for a common migraine headache is a minimum of four hours to a maximum of seventy two hours. Though the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is yet to be properly documented and scientifically proven, any treatment which gives relief from the migraine pain is welcome.

What is Botox?
Now, that we know about the basics of migraine let us proceed further to the type of treatment recommended. The use of Botox to treat migraine headaches has been found through experiments to be extremely helpful. Basically Botox is a short name for a protein called botulinum toxin A. The bacterium from which it is derived is called Clostridium botulinum. This bacterium in large doses is known to cause a terrible case of food poisoning. So it has to be administered within the system in very small and dilute doses to avoid complications of any sort. This is basically a cosmetic drug and is used mainly by doctors to treat signs of ageing mostly like wrinkles and loose skin. The Botox injection is used to make the facial region wrinkle free and uplift the skin of the face. An interesting study conducted by a certain medical group found that when the Botox injection was given to the facial region for curing the problem of wrinkles it gave relief to those who were suffering from the problem of migraine headaches. Thus by chance and experiments the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches was found.

The role of Botox in treating migraines
The use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is yet to be confirmed on a medical basis but it has been found time and again that this medicine provides a sure shot way of getting rid of the pain of migraine for a certain period of time. The injection has to be given in various muscles of the face and multiple doses are necessary. The muscles of the eyebrows, the eyes and the neck and the forehead are the most effective and commonly used areas for applying the injection of Botulinum Toxin A. Once this injection is applied the migraine pain for sure subsides. This relief can be for a few days up to as long as six months. There is a specific amount of dose which needs to be applied and at certain intervals. This amount of dose and the interval has to be done properly because if anything goes wrong in the calculations it can prove to be detrimental for the person undergoing the treatment. The injection definitely decreases the rate of occurrence of the migraine pain. It however does not go away completely and does recur after a certain period of time. Thus the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is definitely a temporary one.

The limitation of this cure
The biggest hindrance of the use of Botox is that it is not a permanent measure. It gives relief true but then again the pain comes back after a definite period of time, depending on the kind of migraine one has. Another equally pressing factor is the cost of the whole treatment. The use of Botox to treat migraine headaches can prove to be a very expensive way indeed. The price of one dose of the protein is approximately about $350. As mentioned earlier, one dose is not enough. Various doses are necessary for curbing the problem of migraines for a few months. The cost of the treatment of migraine with the help of Botox injection is also not applicable under the terms and conditions of any medical insurance and thus it becomes all the more difficult for a common man to afford such a costly treatment. The use of nasal sprays and other prescribed medicines, which come at a lesser price, can also be used to treat the problem of migraines. However the plus point of Botox over the sprays and medicines are that it acts for a longer period of time. Apart from that there are some side effects also. The eyelids droop due to the administration of the doses. Botox is mainly used to treat chronic migraines. It is not that effective when one suddenly gets an attack. Other prescribed drugs and nasal sprays do the work then and nothing else. In totality, the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is a temporary yet costly method.

The Botulinum Toxin A or Botox is a FDA approved way of treating chronic migraines. Though no biological dissection of this method has been done so far on this, this method is purely an abstract one based on chance and experimentation. The result Botox has varies from patient to patient. This is a way of subsiding the pain for a long period of time. Like all medicines this too has side effects which is again varies from patient to patient. It is truly a wonder how a bacterium which causes so bad a case of food poisoning can cure such a troublesome problem like migraine which is seen in almost three fourths of the population. The results of the experiment that have been conducted and observed show that the use of Botox to treat migraine headaches is a very effective method resulting in about a success rate of eighty out of hundred. This makes the medicine all the more useful.

As we age, many of us become concerned about wrinkles. Sun exposure, worrying, stress and even laughing or smiling can cause wrinkles on our faces. You may be considering fillers & injectibles and are not sure what the differences are. Here you will find some answers to help you understand your options.

Main Differences
Injectibles such as BOTOX®, Restylane® and others work to numb the area that is injected. When the muscles in the area are flexed the area will not wrinkle as it did before the injection. The whole procedure takes minutes and the effects can last from 4-6 months. Generally, you don’t need to have any local anesthesia because the injection is done with an ultra-fine needle that feels like a skin prick.

BOTOX® is a purified protein injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. These lines appear over time with everyday muscle activity of the face. Botox injections soften and relax wrinkles. Botox is relatively safe, but is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.

Restylane® is referred to as cosmetic dermal filler that corrects those stubborn, deep wrinkles. The gel formula is injected into the wrinkle or deep fold to bring back that fullness you used to have. Restylane® contains hyaluronic acid which is already naturally in your body.

When we were younger and our skin was smooth and beautiful, this hyaluronic acid is what kept our skin looking full and supple. As we age, our bodies produce less and wrinkles begin to appear. Common areas are the lines that run from your nose down to the side of your mouth – from smiling or frowning. Also, crow’s feet, lines in your forehead and the area between your eyebrows – sometimes referred to as the “elevens” or marionette lines.

Dermal fillers, sometimes called “liquid facelifts” are a great option if you want to plump your lips a little, soften facial creases or help with excess sagging skin. You can get great results from fillers like Artefill®, Radiesse and Juvaderm® at a lower cost and much less risk than surgery. The results are temporary and maintenance will be necessary.

What Happens During the Procedure?
Once you’ve decided to go ahead and tackle those annoying wrinkles and laugh lines, ask around for doctors in your area that specialize in this service. Referrals from friends are often the best way to find someone that will give you the results that you are looking for. During your appointment the doctor will talk with you about your goals and what issues you are concerned about.

The doctor will examine your skin and evaluate the issues that you are concerned with. He may find that the wrinkles that you are worried about may be resolved by addressing another area instead. Often times they will also take a before photo for their records to keep track of your progress. Your doctor will make recommendations and talk to you about your options.

The doctor will then map out a strategy for targeting these areas. He will identify where the injection sites will be. Usually an injection of a local anesthetic will be made to alleviate discomfort. Sometimes the material being injected can be quite thick and may hurt a little. This pain goes away petty quickly and a little pain reliever like Tylenol or Motrin can be taken after, if needed. Some fillers include an anesthetic in the mixture as well.

Next they will clean the area to be injected with an antibacterial agent. Then they will begin the injections which take seconds per site. You will experience some discomfort even with a local anesthetic, but it isn’t unbearable. Within a few minutes, the whole procedure is done!

What to Expect After Your Treatment
You will be given ice to put on the injection areas and you will see redness for a few hours. Many doctors believe in the benefits of natural remedies such as Arnica to help promote healing. Some bruising may appear, but will slowly fade over the next few days.

You can apply make-up right away. Be very careful not to rub the injection areas or put too much pressure on them because you can move the material. The great thing about fillers is that there is no downtime. You can go back to most activities right away without worry.

Complications or risks are pretty uncommon but could include:

Acne

Antibodies, or rejection of filler material, may reduce the effectiveness of future injections

Asymmetry

Bleeding

Bruising

Infection at the injection site

Itching

Migration of filler material away from the original site

Redness

Skin rash

Skin sensitivity

Swelling

Temporary numbness

Temporary paralysis of facial muscles

Under- or over-correction of wrinkles

The cost of dermal fillers or injectibles can vary widely based on a number of factors. The expertise and qualifications of your doctor or nurse providing the treatment is one factor. The cost of the actual product being injected can affect the price as well as the geographical location of the office. Often doctors charge based on the number of injections (cc’s).

Are Fillers or Injectibles Right for You?
Dermal fillers and injectibles are a great way to soften wrinkles and fill in folds or sagging cheeks. They don’t stop the aging process and are temporary. You will need to maintenance every 4-9 months depending on which treatment you used. If you are looking for a permanent solution, you may want to talk to your physician about a facelift, brow lift or eye lift.

Who said men don’t need a little makeup or fixing up their skin? All those false stories that Botox is just for women are absolutely untrue. Men have all the right to look young and good. After all, women need a reason to drool over men. Men today are more conscious about their looks in comparison to the women. They go to skin clinics to get their hair and skin fixed and that is the sole reason why there are so many men beauty clinics around. Here we are to talk about the new ‘IN’ thing called Botox. So, let’s see what it really is and why a man should go for it!

Take years off your face with Botox

Botox is a miracle for people who are in their forties or fifties and want to look twenty five. Well, it is perfectly fine as nobody wants to get old! Botox, in a nutshell is the safest way to remove wrinkles from your skin and lifting your saggy skin to make it look younger. Botox makes you look younger in few minutes and stays for a long time. You can now easily take off years from your face with Botox injections.

How does it work?

Botox injections are inserted on the affected areas which blocks overactive muscles which prevents your skin from sagging and getting wrinkles. The Botox effect lasts for 4-5 months which is more than enough. You can get it done again which makes it worth a try! Botox injection can be used anywhere – lips, hips, wrinkles or even dimples! Dimples may look cute to some but for some they are just not bearable. If you are tired of people pulling your cheeks then Botox can help you get rid of those pulls! Botox is clinically approved by dermatologists and professionals and is considered to be safe. It treats hyperkinetic lines such as the glabellar lines or forehead lines. If you sweat a lot more than others – then Botox can help you with that as well. Botox helps in reducing the gland or muscle activity and makes you look younger and better!

Why Botox for men?

If you are a man and are thinking that Botox is just for women – then get a reality check. Just stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself closely. Are there wrinkles on your skin? Is your skin sagging? Well, if the answer is a resounding yes then you certainly do not need a fairness cream or anti-ageing cream as they clearly do not work. All the advertisements today give fake promises that they can fight seven signs of ageing effectively but personal experiences tell that those promises are all false. Want a temporary solution to get rid of wrinkles and look younger? The answer is Botox.

See the women on television commercials or music videos. Do you know Madonna has crossed her fifties? Kylie Minogue manages to look sexy still. Even generally – look around you, beautiful women all over the world in their fifties still looking young and beautiful. You are a man and you have all the right to look great in your fifties too. And Botox is the solution to your ageing signs. You might haven’t noticed but a lot of men in Hollywood or generally look awesome even in their old age. It’s nothing to be ashamed of! One should age gracefully and to do that you need a little makeup too.

Botox is not just a cosmetic or makeup but it is certainly a temporary but effective fix to looking young. Don’t you want to woo you woman with your handsome young looks? She will wake up every morning seeing a charming man by her side – isn’t that the most amazing feeling ever! She might love you the most even if you don’t fix your wrinkles but don’t you want to surprise her with a new you?

When it is about Botox, gender should not be a concern as men should pamper themselves like women as everybody has the right to look young and beautiful. There are many men around the world who do go for Botox injections. Botox not just makes you look younger but also boosts your confidence. Nobody likes wrinkles and so Botox helps you get rid of them on a temporary basis.

These days’ men are even more attracted to the Botox services and are getting them done in order to look even more desirable. Men usually get vertical lines near their eyebrows which makes them look depressed and angry when they age and women tend to take that look as masculine. But to be honest – women like happier and younger men. So why not start today and look younger?

Men also get wrinkles between their eyes which ruins the personality of the man. He may be a happy and jovial man in real life but those lines could make him look hopeless and serious. If you are a man who is tired of people telling you that you look depressed in life then all you need is BOTOX.

No time?

Women usually get time to do doll up and beautify themselves even in the middle of work. But men being workaholics just won’t leave work for any other play! The good thing about Botox is that many doctors are happy to visit you and give you Botox injections. Men just don’t spend time on them and keep working like watch-dogs! Why? You are a man does not mean that you won’t take care of yourself. If you constantly work and don’t pamper yourself, you will see signs of ageing earlier than you expect. Some men are so busy with their work schedules that they don’t see that they are turning old. But since we told you the good news that doctors can pay you a visit will make your life easier. Of course you need to pay the sweet doctor to make the effort of coming to your place to make you look young and good.

Safe and Effective

Botox has been approved clinically by the US FDA team. You should always read the guide which is given with the Botox injections to see what you need to avoid and should do. You should always consult your doctor before doing anything at all – it may be liposuction or breast enlargement or any treatment – contact your doctor before taking any step. Thousands of people use these services and have not complained of any complications. Just make sure you get it done from a professional as it is safer. Botox is certainly the safest method to look young and attractive.

Who’s that handsome prince charming?

Once you are through the process of Botox, you will see a major change in your appearance. Don’t you want to look at the mirror and say “Mirror Mirror on the wall, am I not the youngest of all?” This is all the time you have on hand. Botox is safe and natural – also, it does not take much time. Just a few injections and you are sorted with a lovely skin which shouts '18 till you die'. Pamper yourselves even if you are a man as nothing could be better than looking young forever!

Laser treatment has recently become a popular method of hair removal from the face and other body parts. Its efficacy and long lasting results has made it a recognized choice even among the dermatology community with most clinics offering this facility. Its success story has grown tremendously in the last two decades.

Laser hair removal treatment is based on targeting dark colors easily, which means it is easier to remove dark hair on light colored skin. Recently though, new laser technologies are working excellently on dark hairs on dark skins or light hairs on light skins. The whole process may take four to six sittings and each sitting may be of maximum two hours, depending on the body area.

This treatment only works on the color identified by the machine and does no harm to the surrounding areas and skin. Nevertheless, the person may undergo slight reactions like redness, itching or soreness after a sitting. One needs to be aware of such consequences before proceeding further.

The success of the treatment lies heavily on the laser operator. Only an experienced and knowledgeable operator will know what type of technology to use on an individual. So it would be wise to check out a certified clinic and a laser operator with experience on your type of skin and hair, before you opt for this type of hair removal method.

The following are the most common areas for laser hair removal treatments:

Facial hair removal with laser treatment is popular with men and women. Women who have hair above their upper lips or chin or on the sides of their faces prefer this method for easier and quicker relief. Since the face has very sensitive skin, the reactions may be a little painful and last for more than a few days. Therefore, a sitting should be arranged at least 2-3 weeks before any important event coming up in the customer’s life. Even though each sitting may not take more than an hour, facial hair removal treatment may take a number of sittings before there is a complete success. Men often go for this method either because they suffer from razor burns or would rather do away with shaving daily. Some men also need to remove the hair in the ears and find it safer and quicker to do so through laser.

Chest hair is not a favorite with many men and those who have hair on their chest and wish to be hairless go for the laser treatment. The past method of waxing causes insufferable pain and scars on the chest; but laser treatment has been able to give smooth relief to men with chest hair. Removing coarse hair on the chest may be painful to the person.

Back hair is another facet of body hair on men and sometimes on women too. Athletes and sports persons must remove hair from their chest and back as a mandatory routine for their professions; but other men also prefer hairless backs and chests. The back hair has a tendency to grow back fast and need expert attention – waxing on one’s own is impossible and regular parlor waxing sessions may turn out to be extremely costly. A laser hair removal treatment on the back may take not more than fifty minutes to one hour and have a longer lasting effect compared to waxing. The cost and time will also depend on the area and growth of hair on the back – it could be a portion of the back or the full back. Women who have hair growth on their backs find this method swifter and smarter and cost effective compared to traditional waxing.

Underarm hair is common in men and women and cause perspiration and bad odor. Besides, women shy from wearing smart sleeveless clothes in summer due to this hairy growth in their underarms. Laser treatment removes the hair from the underarms in less than an hour and most often the process is permanent. One such treatment can remove the unwanted hair from under the arms forever.

Bikini and leg hair are the other common areas for laser removal of hair treatment. Swimsuits and bikinis compliment a woman’s figure but do little to hide the pubic hair from peeping out. Some women find it okay to treat the area as per the bikini outline; whereas others prefer to clean the whole pubic area. This sort of treatment is known as the Brazilian treatment and is much safer than using a razor in this delicate part. The hair on the legs of both men and women are the easiest to remove and the procedure is quickest in this area. Some women specially prefer hair removal on their legs from the ankle to just above the knee; whereas, other women go for the whole leg treatment which extends from the ankle to the hip bone. Either of these is a smooth treatment and does not take too much time, unless the hair is coarse which can be a little painful and need extra time. A number of men too prefer the laser treatment to remove hair on their legs.

Looking good and attractive is common with both men and women alike; hair removal from certain parts of the body not only enhances one’s looks but also proves the person to be hygiene-conscious. Hair is unwanted anywhere except on the crown – where it should in be in glorious abundance. Hair elsewhere causes itchiness, sweat, and foul-smell and can even harbor germs and parasites unnoticed. Shaving and waxing were the only options for hair removal till laser treatment became known. Now, people are aware of hair removal in a safer, quicker, reasonably cheaper and highly effective manner – the laser hair removal treatment.

This is a method to remove hair from all those unwanted places of your body permanently. Every part of the body has different textures of hair and accordingly the treatments and timings go with it. Soft hair on very visible portions of the body may take less time in each sitting and need lesser number of sittings before there is complete satisfaction. Coarse and thick hair will naturally need longer periods in each sitting and areas like the back will need frequent sittings before the desired results.

Any external work on the skin will lead to some irritation and rashes, laser hair removal treatment also has the same effect but at a lesser degree. Some may be allergic to the gel or solution used during laser treatment and has redness and rashes come out. Whatever the reactions they are generally harmless and last for the first few days of the initial sitting.

As we age, we’re always looking for something that will help slow down the effects of aging. One of the most popular anti-aging cosmetic procedures is the non-surgical laser skin resurfacing. Done with a special laser right in Dr. Peer’s office, it improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, old scars and hyperpigmentation (discolored areas of the skin), primarily around the eyes and mouth.

There’s been a dramatic increase in the number performed each year.

The reason? Today’s lasers are gentler and safer than in the past. Yes, there can be a bit of downtime but the results are worth it: Amazing skin!

Basically, Liposculpture is a more refined version of Liposuction. Dr. Peers removes small pockets of fat on the neck, chin, arm, stomach and thighs. For men, the most common area for Liposculpture are the "love handles" and breasts.

Both Liposuction and Liposculpture are not intended for weight loss. Instead, both are intended to rid the body of stubborn fat deposits that will not respond to diet and exercise.

Both Lipsoction and Liposculpture are done under a local anesthetic with normal activities (with minor restrictions) resuming the very next day.

Both Liposuction and LipoSculpture use a cannula -- a long, thin, hollow surgical tube -- inserted through equally small surgical openings in the skin. The cannula is connected to an aspirator, a suction device that removes the fat.

Dr. Peers uses two technologies to remove the unwanted fat: Smart Lipo and the newest Water Jet Lipo (also called Body Jet). With Smart Lipo, the fat is first melted and then suctioned out. With the Water Jet Lipo, the fat is simply washed out. Both have the pros and cons so Dr. Peers has developed his own technique called Smart Water Lipo™.

YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS
Peers Cosmetic Laser Care's team approach mean that you will have multiple safe and effective options, focused on an outstanding outcome. Dr. Peers is a trendsetter in Smart Water Lipo™. He is also as an educator to other physicians in many body sculpting procedures including Smart Water Liposuction ™ or Laser Lipo. Seeing is believing! Visit our before and after picture gallery for photos and informative body sculpting and liposculpture videos in our video library.

SMART WATER LIPO MEANS NO STITCHES, NO SCARS
Dr. Peer's advanced techniques to remove fat, tighten skin, and sculpt the body are much safer than traditional liposuction and offer superior cosmetic results with almost no downtime and quick recovery. Dr. Peers has performed many hundreds of body sculpting procedures. Our patients are pleased with a faster recovery, no stitches, minimal to no blood loss, or unsightly scars! Smart Water Liposuction is the gentlest, most advanced form of liposuction. Performed under local anesthesia with very little downtime, this revolutionary new water lipo is combined with Smart lipo by cosmetic trendsetter, Dr. Peers.

QUICK RECOVERY, MINIMAL DOWNTIME, NATURAL RESULTS
Liposculpture, SmartLipo ™, Smart Water Lipo ™ , laser lipo and Body Jet are safe, effective ways to get a more sculpted body, reduce fat, and tighten skin. These body sculpting procedures are used to reshape problem body areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, “love handles”, male breasts, arms, face, jaw line, double chin, neck, and more.

REMOVE UNWANTED FAT PAINLESSLY, WITH MINIMAL DOWNTIME
Dr. Peers has developed his advanced liposculpture technique that permanently removes unwanted fat without causing significant discomfort, bruising, or uneven results. Dr. Peers’s approach to fat reduction and body sculpting is unique because he uses combinations of Liposculpture, SmartLipo ™, and Body Jet for patients. Not every patient needs a combination, but because SmartLipo™ has the added effect of melting fat and tightening the skin, it is almost always used in combination with Liposculpture or Body Jet. For very small areas, such as chin, bra bulge, or for patients with loose, lax skin, SmartLipo ™ is extremely effective and may be used alone for excellent results.

LIPOSCULPTURE FAQS

Q: What is Liposculpture?
A. Liposculpture is a more refined, advanced form of liposuction that removes fat deposits through thin metal tubes or cannulas using tiny entry incisions. As specialists like Dr. Peers developed the art of liposuction using smaller cannulas, it became known as liposculpture. The procedure is done under local anesthesia with an oral sedative to enhance patient comfort. Liposculpture can be performed in conjunction with the newest fat transfer techniques.

Q : What areas of the body can be treated with liposculpture?
A. Dr. Peers’s liposculpture techniques allow virtually any area of the body to be treated including saddle bags, double chins, the abdomen, chest, love handles, hips, thighs, and arms.

Q : How do I know if I’m a good candidate for liposculpture?
A. You may be a good candidate for liposculpture if you are healthy with a good skin tone and a moderate amount of excess fat that you would like to improve. You should not be more than 30 pounds overweight. Dr. Peers can confirm whether or not liposculpture would be right for you during a consultation.

Q: What happens during a consultation for liposculpture?
A. During the consultation with Dr. Peers, you will be shown before and after photographs of previous liposculpture patients and given an idea of what results you can realistically expect. Any questions that you have will be answered and Dr. Peers who will discuss the benefits and risks of liposculpture to help you make an informed decision. Listening to some of our patients own stories might help you as well.

Q: Are consultations free?
A. Yes. Our office does not charge for consultations. If you have any questions about the procedure or simply wish to meet with and be evaluated by Dr. Peers, please call our office and schedule a time for a complimentary consultation. If you live out of the area, Dr. Peers will also do a consultation over the phone.

Q: Why do people want Liposculpture?
A. A variety of reasons prompt liposcuplture, the most significant of which is usually that the patient has unwanted deposits of fat that will not go away in spite of exercise and dieting. Liposculpture helps to improve appearance, confidence and self-esteem, and aesthetic body proportions. In some cases, people use Liposcupture to "kick start" a lifestyle modification program that includes a better diet and an exercise program.

Q: How much fat can be removed?
A. Some patients require fat to be removed from many areas of their bodies. This is definitely an option. However, Dr. Peers' priority is safety—he has never ever had a patient experience a serious complication. He is careful, cautious, and realistic in determining an appropriate candidate for the liposculpture and the maximum number of areas that can be safely treated during any single procedure.

The amount of fat removed from each patient varies and depends on what is best for your body. The goal of liposculpture is not to remove as much fat as possible—the goal of liposculpture is to sculpt your body, have a balanced, aesthetically pleasing result, and make you look as dramatic as possible while leaving you looking natural and smooth.

Q: Where does Dr. Peers perform the liposculpture procedure?
A. Dr. Peers performs liposculpture in our state-of-the-art, Indiana-licensed outpatient surgery center in our office. The center is across from Goshen Hospital, where Dr. Peers has privileges.

Q: Can I do liposculpture if I live out-of-town?
A. Yes. Domestic and international patients are welcome. We have patients from all over. They have found our gentle caring approach to Liposculpture and Liposuction as compared to larger cities make the process a pleasant surprise. After your procedure, you will be given all the medications and garments that you need for your recovery. You will need to stay overnight at a local hotel so we can check your progress the next morning. Patient safety is our priority.

Q: How is the liposculpture procedure performed?
A. The liposculpture procedure involves local infiltration with a solution containing lidocaine and sterile saline. To facilitate the fat removal, laser energy may be used to first soften the fat tissue (Smart Lipo or Smart Water Lipo). The fat cells are then dislodged with the Water Jet and removed using small instruments.

Q: Can I drive myself home after my liposculpture procedure?
A. Because sedation is used for the liposculpture procedure, you will need someone else to drive you home afterward.

Q: Will the liposculpture procedure leave scars?
A. Because only very small skin openings of less than a quarter of an inch are used to remove the fat, the resulting scars tend to be unnoticeable and well-concealed.

Q: Will I experience much pain after my liposculpture procedure?
A. Patients can expect to experience some soreness after the liposculpture procedure that is easily handled by our prescribed pain medication.

Q: What can I expect of the recovery after liposculpture?
A. During the recovery after liposculpture or laser lipo, patients will wear a thin compression garment under their clothing. Some soreness can be expected. If bruising or swelling should occur, it resolves within two to three weeks. You can help to speed the healing process with warm baths and gentle massages. The final result is usually apparent after three full months.

Q: When can I return to work after undergoing liposculpture?
A. In most cases patients can return to work within forty-eight to seventy-two hours after the liposculpture procedure.

Q: How soon can I exercise after undergoing liposculpture?
A. Exercise can be resumed within one week after the liposculpture procedure.

Q: When will my stitches be removed after my liposculpture procedure? Will I have stiches from my Lipsculpture procedure?
A. No stiches are required because the incisions are so small, they heal naturally.

Q: What are the risks of liposculpture?
A. Cosmetic surgery, like any surgery, has risks. During your consultation, possible complications will be discussed in detail to enable you to make an informed decision. Despite any risks, liposculpture is a safer and more affordable choice than ever before.

Q: Is liposculpture covered by insurance?
A. Liposculpture is considered cosmetic and is usually not covered by insurance. We do have financing available, however, for those who are interested.

Q: Are the results of liposculpture permanent?
A. The fat cells removed through liposculpture do not return. However, that does not mean that all fat cells in the body are gone. Provided that patients follow a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise and proper diet, the results can be long lasting. If the patient gains weight, the remaining cells will enlarge.
